Statement of Faith

What We Believe

These beliefs summarize the biblical convictions that guide our church, our worship, our teaching, and our ministry.

The Bible

The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God and are our infallible guide for faith and practice.

God

There is one living and true God, revealed as Creator, Preserver, and righteous Governor of the universe; and in Scripture as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is infinitely wise and good, worthy of our love, worship, and obedience.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, fully God and fully man. He is the mediator between God and humanity. Once crucified, He is now risen and glorified, our ever-present Savior and Lord.

The Holy Spirit

The Scriptures assign to the Holy Spirit all the attributes of God, and He lives within each believer.

The Sinfulness of Humanity

Humanity was created innocent, but through disobedience fell into sin and condemnation. All people inherit a fallen nature and stand in need of God’s grace.

Salvation

Salvation is received when a person repents of sin, places faith in Jesus as Savior, and follows Him as Lord. Those who believe in Christ receive the Holy Spirit, and God desires the salvation of all people.

Gospel Ordinances

Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be practiced according to the example and instruction of Christ.

Tithes and Offerings

We believe giving is an act of worship and obedience, supporting the work of the church and the spread of the gospel.

Resurrection and Judgment

The Scriptures teach the resurrection of all people at the last day. Those who trust in Christ will experience resurrection to life, while those who reject Christ face eternal judgment.
